How we handle reviews
Last updated: 12 September 2026
Published under Article 21-4 of the Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce and Article 27-3 of its Enforcement Decree, which require us to disclose how user reviews are collected and handled.
1. Who can write a review
Only a learner who took part in a session that actually started can review that session — the person who booked it for one-to-one sessions, or a participant for group sessions. Sessions that were booked but never started cannot be reviewed.
One review per session. A star rating (1–5) is required; the written comment is optional and limited to 300 characters. You may choose to post anonymously, in which case your name is not shown.
Partners and DAMSORA staff do not write or commission reviews, and we never import reviews from anywhere else.
2. How long reviews stay up
There is no fixed display period. A review is never taken down simply because time has passed; it stays visible unless it is hidden through the process in section 4.
Reviews and ratings remain even if the author closes their account. Three years after account closure we sever the link between the review and the author's account, after which the review remains with no identifiable author.
3. Rating or ranking of reviews, and its effects
We do not rate or rank reviews. There is no "best review", no recommendation score, no reviewer tier, and we give no credits or rewards for writing a review.
A partner's page shows the 10 most recent reviews, ordered only by when they were written — a higher or lower star rating never changes the order. The average rating shown in partner listings is calculated from all visible reviews, so it can differ from the average of the 10 shown.
Separately, if you block or mute another member, their reviews are hidden from you only. Other users still see them.
4. When a review is hidden, and how to object
Reviews are hidden rather than deleted, and only in one situation: the partner who received the review reports it, and a DAMSORA administrator reviews that report and upholds it. The available report reasons are spam, harassment or abusive language, false statements, and other.
A report alone does not hide a review — an administrator reads the review and decides. A review is never hidden merely for being a low rating.
Objecting: if your review was hidden and you disagree, contact us and we will look at it again. Members can use the support centre in the app or on the web; otherwise email support@damsora.com. We usually reply within 1–2 business days.
Editing or deleting your own review from the app is not available at the moment. Please ask through the support centre above if you need a change.
